She was never picked from footpath whose mother passed away. Her biological mother aka a homeless lady was Sunita Kumari and had close intimate relationship with the Big Khan. This story was very well concealed by the family internally, known to very few. Post the demise of the “woh” from the pati, patni and woh arrangement,  because of Salma’s kind nature, empathy for the girl and social stigma she accepted her as a part of family.
